"I am a kid from Gaza. I have been living in tents for a year. My family and I consist of five people. We do not have food, drink, or treatment. I need an ear operation. Not a day goes by without pain. I hope you can help my family and me live." - Malak

Malak lives with her parents, younger sister (13), and younger brother (10) in a tent in Khan Younis after they were forced to leave their home. Malak is incredibly hard-working and kind. She loves fashion, and her favorite subject in school is math. Her biggest dreams are to be happy again and to get a job to help her family.

Malak is only seventeen years old, and instead of living the childhood that all kids deserve, she spends extremely long days trying to raise funds to afford the most basic necessities. She has a perforated eardrum and severe inflammation in her ears, and she needs $200 every month for just her 4 medications. In total, Malak's family needs around $800/month for food, water, cleaning supplies, medicine and other necessities.

Malak’s family also needs funds to repair their tent and waterproof it as soon as possible.

You can follow Malak @freegaza8556 on Instagram.

Funds will be used for the family's survival and any emergencies that arise as we all desperately wait for the situation to change. The family will receive the funds from this fundraiser via PP.

Malak hopes to use her Chuffed campaign to save for her ear operation, including the cost of traveling outside Gaza for the specialized treatment.

2. Mohammed A’s Family

Mohammed’s family is displaced in Khan Younis and needs money for food, water, winter clothing, gas, and other urgent needs. He lives in a tent with his wife and three children (ages 2, 4, and 6). They were forced to evacuate by the brutal occupation, and their beautiful home was completely demolished.

Before the genocide, he used to have a job making and installing ceramic tiles in people’s homes. He did really incredible work.

He has told me that his family needs about $1000 to last a month and a half due to the high prices.
